Description

Red River
(Open World Roleplay utilizing MILSIM ruleset)
June 1st-2nd, 2024

SITUATION REPORT:

The Pantano Verde region, once a thriving area, has recently succumbed to the challenges of social unrest, economic instability, and civil war. Recently, a terrorist group known as the Patagonian Liberation Front has assassinated the Governor of Pantano Verde, creating a power vacuum that the ambitious seek to fill.

The three main Tribal groups in Pantano Verde, The Zona, The Sokol, & The Prikaza all vie for dominance in the region, while foreign influence seek their own objectives in the area.

Red River is an event that merges our Open World Roleplay events (Rev, Fertile Crescent, The Wild, etc.) with the ruleset of our MILSIM events (Limited ammo, non standard medic rules, serious tone, etc.)

Each Team has specific Uniforms and Kit Restrictions that MUST be adhered to. Failure to follow the strict guidelines will result in removal from the event without a refund.

Economy & Looting

Red River is primarily a role-playing event, where tribes focus on increasing wealth, resources, and intelligence. This wealth is represented in the form of in-game currency, tribe-specific resources, and other gameplay items. Participants can use in-game currency for all manner of goods and services. All participants are heavily encouraged to bring several lootable items to barter or trade within gameplay. Specific looting rules are based on different denominations of in-game currency. Players cannot use "Real-world" trades to get gameplay items from Role Players (I.E. Trade your gun for a Bandage). In-game items can be received by doing missions, trading other In-game items, or using in-game currency. Players cannot use real money (USD) to buy items on the field from players.

Medics & Respawning

Medics:

At Red River, all participants will be issued a Ballahack Airsoft fake tourniquet (TQ). Upon being shot for the first time and being 'downed', a participant can receive 'Buddy Aid' from any other participant, regardless of faction. The fake TQ must be fully applied to an arm and fastened for the action to be complete. Once the fake TQ is fully applied, the downed player is alive.

If a participant already wearing a fake TQ is shot again, they will require a Medic Water Bottle (Medic Water). Any player can administer Medic Water to the downed player. Once the downed player has consumed the Medic Water, they will return it to the person they received it from, remove the TQ, and become alive again.

RESPAWNS:

Tribes

If there are no nearby friendlies to administer Buddy Aid or Medic Water, there are Tribe Specific Spawns on the field. BEFORE a Participant can decide to travel to their spawn, they must bleed out for THREE MINUTES. During these three minutes, they can be looted. Once the three-minute bleedout is over, participants are permitted to travel to their spawn. If a participant decides to start walking to their spawn, they MUST travel all the way there to reenter gameplay. Participants CAN NOT start traveling to Respawn and then receive Buddy Aid or Medic Water on the way.

Once a member of one of The Tribes has reached their spawn, they must wait for ONE additional minute before they can reenter gameplay. Firefights at Tribal spawn points are strictly prohibited.

DPEG

If there are no nearby friendlies to administer Buddy Aid or Medic Water, there will be a DPEG-Specific spawn Room (Infirmary) in the Embassy. Participants CAN NOT start traveling to spawn and then receive Buddy Aid or Medic Water on the way.

Once a member of DPEG has reached their Respawn Room in the Embassy, they must wait for ONE additional minute before they can re-enter gameplay. If there are hostile elements inside the Embassy, members of DPEG may not utilize their spawn, BUT they may receive Buddy Aid OR Medic Water from any other participant in their Respawn Room.

SRD

If there are no nearby friendlies to administer Buddy Aid or Medic Water, there will be an offsite SRD-specific spawn. BEFORE a participant can decide to travel to their Respawn, they must bleed out for THREE MINUTES. During these three minutes, they can be looted. Once the three-minute bleedout is over, participants are permitted to travel to their spawn. If a participant decides to start walking to their Respawn, they MUST travel all the way there to reenter gameplay. Participants CAN NOT start traveling to spawn and then receive Buddy Aid or Medic Water on the way.

Once a member of SRD has reached their off-site Respawn, they must wait for ONE additional minute before they can re-enter gameplay.
